Clippers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Clippers owner Donald Sterling was ready to unveil the new uniforms the Clippers will be sporting in 2010-11 when he met with some media members at the Clippers' practice facility on August 16. And, in a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, he was remarkably candid about where he thinks his team is heading.
Regarding the additions of Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes, Sterling said: "If I really called the shots, we wouldn't have signed Gomes and ... what's the other guy's name?" before adding, "They told me if we built a new practice facility we'd attract all the top players. I guess I should have doubled the size."
That was a reference to not aggressively pursuing big names like LeBron James in free agency.
